By creating a Circl account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Circl.
Circl provides software ("the platform") that enables groups to organise rotating savings circles, governance voting, and related coordination. Circl is not a bank, deposit-taking institution, or licensed financial services provider. Circl does not hold member funds.
You agree to:
All financial decisions in your circle (payouts, loans, rule changes, member admission, dispute outcomes) are made by member vote. Circl does not approve, reject, or guarantee any decision your circle makes. Circl is bound only to record decisions accurately and execute coordination as instructed by passing votes.
Funds are held in multi-signature wallets controlled by circle members, not by Circl. Circl never holds private keys. The security of your funds depends on members protecting their keys. Circl cannot recover lost keys.
Circl reserves a limited override capability to comply with anti-money-laundering regulations, court orders, KYC failures, or fraud investigations. Every override is permanently audit-logged with reason, attribution, and (where applicable) legal reference, and is visible to affected members.
Your trust score is informational. Circl never uses it to gate, restrict, or limit your action. Other circles and members can see it.
Disputes between members are handled through the dispute system at the circle level. Circle members vote on resolutions per their bylaws. Circl does not adjudicate member disputes.
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are subject to AML / regulatory action.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Circl disclaims all liability for losses arising from member behaviour, circle outcomes, multi-sig key loss, or third-party services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Circl's total liability is limited to fees you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Kingston, Jamaica.
