Your rights as a Member of Circlworld
We've written this so you can see, on one page, what you can expect from Circlworld and what we ask of you. The full legal documents are linked at the bottom — please read them. This page is a summary and is not the legal contract.
You have the right to:
- Use the Platform with confidence that we will never hold your money. Where your funds sit between hands depends on the Circle's custody choice, recorded in its Bylaws and governed by the Custody Framework:
- Lending pool capital, the Circle Protection Reserve (CPR), loan disbursements, and collateral escrow — escrow-held only, in a dedicated multi-signature account opened in the name of the Circle's own member-constituted co-operative legal form. The Treasurer is never a sole signatory on these accounts.
- Cross-border Circles — escrow-held only for all funds.
- Regular cycle contributions in single-jurisdiction Circles — either Member-to-member under the Treasurer's personal fiduciary duty (the traditional model honoured by the Cultural Architecture Policy) or escrow-held in a dedicated multi-signature account, chosen by Member vote at formation.
- Have private communications stay private (we don't use them to train AI)
- See your own records and Standing
- Get an Evidence Pack of your activity (free on paid tiers, modest fee on Free tier with hardship waiver)
- Settle disputes through our Dispute Settlement Centre (not a court — settlements between you and the other party)
- Take any matter to a real court if you need to — we will help with documentation
- Get independent legal advice at any time
- Be treated with respect, and have your tradition represented respectfully
- Use the Platform without being manipulated by dark patterns or compulsion loops
- Close your Account at any time
You agree to:
- Be honest in your dealings with other Members
- Make contributions as agreed in any Circles you join
- Treat other Members with respect

We commit to:
- Run the Platform in good faith
