Treasurer Tiers

The Community Growth Programme (CGP) recognises Treasurers at five tiers. Each tier reflects a different stage of community-building practice — from your first Circle to a substantial cross-jurisdictional practice supporting hundreds of Members across years.

Subscription tier follows CGP tier. Your subscription cost (£25 / £45 / £75 / £125 / £200 per month) and your CGP allocation rate both follow your CGP tier. See the Treasurer Pricing page for the canonical pricing reference.

Tier progression is decided by Member-voted attestation per the Treasurer Tier Algorithm v1.2 and the Treasurer Tier Progression Charter. Members in your Circles attest to your practice; tier advancement requires meeting practice-record thresholds AND receiving sufficient Member-vote support. The platform records and adjudicates; the platform does not award tier promotions unilaterally.

Why tiers exist

Building communities is real work. The Treasurer who has supported ten Members for six months has accomplished something. The Treasurer who has supported a hundred Members across years of healthy Circles has accomplished something exceptional.

Tiers recognise this without treating community-building as a sales contest. The progression is visible on your public Treasurer Profile, which prospective Members see when considering your Circles. It is a public record of what you have built.

Each tier also corresponds to a CGP allocation rate — the percentage of attributable Member subscription revenue that the platform routes to you through the compound subscription mechanism. As your tier rises, your rate shifts up (15% → 25% across the five tiers), recognising the accumulated experience your practice carries.

The five tiers

Community Builder

Where you start. You have completed the application process, established yourself as a Treasurer, and begun building your first Circles.

Subscription: £25/month. CGP allocation rate: 15%.

What this tier carries:

  • Treasurer Practice Suite (profile, Avenues directory listing, basic marketing toolkit)
  • Treasurer Commons access in the Forum for peer connection
  • CGP recognition through your Members' subscription contributions
  • Standard support response

Typical practice scale: First Circle of 8–20 Members. Reachable from day one of your Treasurer subscription.

Circle Steward

The established practice. You are running multiple Circles or larger Circles successfully. Members are completing cycles, contributing on time, and remaining active across cycles.

Subscription: £45/month. CGP allocation rate: 18%.

What this tier carries:

  • Everything in Community Builder
  • Treasurer Advisory Board eligibility (5-member elected body; STV elections; 1-year terms)
  • Treasurer Practice Suite — full features (reviews aggregation, practice metrics, external profile linkability, advanced marketing toolkit)

Typical practice scale: 30–80 Members across 2–4 active Circles. Member-voted progression after sustained track record.

Community Anchor

The multi-Circle practice. You are administering several Circles simultaneously with strong retention. Your practice is recognised in your community as a reference point — Members come to you because of who you are, not because of paid acquisition.

Subscription: £75/month. CGP allocation rate: 20%.

What this tier carries:

  • Everything in Circle Steward
  • Treasurer Advisory Board eligibility expanded
  • Higher Member-vote weight in Town Hall (Community) governance — tier-weighted voting (Community Anchor = 2.0×)

Typical practice scale: 80–150 Members across 4–8 Circles. Reached through sustained Member-voted attestation.

Regional Custodian

The geographic anchor. Your practice spans a region — multiple Circles, multiple cohorts, established presence over years. You may be supporting Treasurer onboarding in your area or holding cross-Circle responsibility.

Subscription: £125/month. CGP allocation rate: 22.5%.

What this tier carries:

  • Everything in Community Anchor
  • Town Hall vote weight 2.5×
  • Eligibility for cross-Circle coordination roles
  • Annual practitioner gathering invitation

Typical practice scale: 150–250 Members. Reached through years of sustained practice.

Circl Ambassador

The cross-jurisdictional practice. You operate across multiple jurisdictions or hold a substantial cohort. Your practice represents the highest tier of CGP recognition.

Subscription: £200/month. CGP allocation rate: 25%. This is the maximum rate.

What this tier carries:

  • Everything in Regional Custodian
  • Town Hall vote weight 3.0× (the highest tier weight)
  • Dedicated relationship contact at Circlworld
  • Community Participation Pool reserved allocation eligibility — when the Pool activates at operational maturity (500+ active Treasurers, 10,000+ active Members, 24+ months of CGP operation), Circl Ambassadors and other substantive contributors share in 1% of the platform's eventual upside

Typical practice scale: 250+ Members across multiple Circles and jurisdictions.

How progression works

Your tier is decided by Member vote, not by the platform unilaterally. The Treasurer Tier Algorithm v1.2 looks at your practice record — cycles administered, Members served, retention, time-in-tier — and surfaces you for a tier-progression vote when you meet the thresholds.

The progression flow:

  1. Algorithm flags eligibility for the next tier (practice record meets threshold)
  2. Member-vote opens — Members in your Circles attest to your practice
  3. Vote closes after the standard window; outcome posted to your public profile
  4. If carried, the new tier is recorded; if not, you remain at the current tier and may be eligible again after the cooling period

Members who attest get a "Change my vote" affordance while the vote is open. Once closed, the record stands.

Tier maintenance. Each tier carries a sustaining threshold (roughly 70–80% of the promotion threshold). If your practice falls below the sustaining floor for a sustained 60-day window, you receive notice and have 30 days to bring the record back into range. Below-sustaining for longer routes to platform admin review with your right to appeal through Resolutions (the Dispute Settlement Centre architecture in operative documents).

What does not change with tier:

  • Your Member relationships. Members remain in your practice across tier movements.
  • Your earnings during a tier review. Your CGP allocation rate at the current tier continues; the rate shifts at tier transition.

What earnings look like

Your gross monthly earnings = sum across your Members on paid Circlworld tiers of (Member's Circlworld subscription × your CGP tier's allocation rate). Subtract your subscription cost at your tier to get your net.

A Circle Steward (18% allocation rate, £45/month subscription) with 40 Credit Builder Members and 10 Pro Members would earn:

  • 40 × £9.99 × 18% = £71.93
  • 10 × £29 × 18% = £52.20
  • Gross: £124.13. Less subscription: £45. Net: £79.13/month.

The interactive Earnings Calculator lets you model your own scenario — pick your CGP tier, your Member composition, and see the net.

Calibration against operational data refines specific positions over time. The architecture is locked; the working subscription numbers (£25 / £45 / £75 / £125 / £200) are disclosed honestly rather than presented as fixed; the CGP allocation rates (15 / 18 / 20 / 22.5 / 25%) are confirmed per the Tier Algorithm v1.2.

What this is not

This is not a sales contest. The platform does not pay Treasurers compensation based on Member recruitment, Pro adoption, or "residual" rates from the platform's revenue. The CGP recognises your community-building work through tier progression, governance rights (Town Hall vote weight, Advisory Board eligibility, consultation requirements), and the Community Participation Pool reserved allocation — but not through direct platform-to-Treasurer payment.

The separation is structural and intentional. It establishes you as an independent practitioner using Circlworld as your infrastructure supplier, rather than as platform-managed labour.

Ready to start?

If you are ready to begin as a Community Builder, apply as a Treasurer. The application takes about ten minutes; review typically takes 3–5 business days.
